Hot Biz How-To: Ethnic Markets
Lately, Pad Thai noodles compete with mac and cheese for space on U.S. grocery shelves. So it’s no surprise that ethnic supermarkets are increasing in popularity as immigrant populations swell and Americans get more adventurous about cooking international recipes.
The industry, says research firm IBISWorld, will grow an average of 3.7 percent by 2016. We interviewed some local grocers who sell international ingredients:
