SCORE enlists businesses for 'Law Boot Camp'
Don't worry, there are no push-ups or drill sergeants here -- just some good basic training about the laws that affect small business owners.
 
Hosted by SCORE, "Law Boot Camp for Small Business" is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance,421 N. Boundary St,, in Williamsburg.
 
The workshop covers:
  • The different forms of business entities
  • Dealing with the State Corporation Commission
  • Protecting your business from liability with a "protocol castle"
  • When to seek an attorney's help
The guest speaker will be Jeremy Johnson, a partner at Gasink & Baxter LLP in , a law firm with offices in Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts.
